How to manage general tool settings
In the left hand menu, locate the TOOLS tab and click to open the secondary menu. Click the TOOL SETTINGS tab to open the management page.
Enable the CartLove Tool:
At the top of the page you will find a slider labeled “Enable CartLOVE tool on website”. Make sure this is turned on or the tool will not display on your website.
Return Visitor Targeting:
Next you will see a slider labeled “Enable Return Visitor Targeting”. Turning this on will allow the tool to welcome back returning customers to your website and display the recently viewed products they were previously looking at.
Enable Recently Viewed Products:
Next you will see a slider labeled “Enable Recently Viewed”. Turning this on will allow the CartLOVE tool to display the products a user has recently viewed. Below this you can set a cap on how many days it's been since the user has viewed the products. If they viewed a product at a previous time longer than the allotted amount of days, the product will not display.
Enable Predictive Search:
The CartLOVE tool’s search functionality is predictive and intuitive and will suggest products in the search results based on the first characters a user enters into the search box. To allow this functionality, toggle the slider labeled “Enable Advanced Search”.
Enable Product View Counts:
The CarLOVE tool can allow the user to see how many people have viewed a certain product so far that day on the relevant product page. To allow this functionality, toggle the slider labeled “Enable Product View Counts Panes”.
You can then set a cap as to how many people have to view the product for the view count to display in the field “Minimum number of views for products”.
You can also set how long it will take for the count to display and how long you want the count to stay displayed by filling in the “Show after milliseconds” and “Stay for milliseconds” fields. Each second is 1000 milliseconds. So for example, if you want the view count to display after three seconds, you would enter 3000 milliseconds in the “Show after milliseconds” field.
Exclude the Tool from Certain Webpages:
If there are pages on your website where you don’t want to display the CartLOVE tool, you can enter the URLs for these pages in the “Exclude Page Visibility” field. Make sure you press enter after each URL so each one begins on a new line.
PRO TIP: You may wish to exclude the CartLOVE tool from certain pages like blog or checkout pages. For checkout pages, you may not want to interrupt or distract a customer from completing a purchase. For blog pages, certain posts may not be relevant to what your website sells. If you manage your blog using an external service and you don’t want the tool to display on any blog pages, you won’t need to use this field. You can just refrain from installing the pixel on it.
Once you are done editing these fields, click SAVE at the bottom of the page. The changes to your CartLOVE tool should occur immediately.
